Jake Owen is all over Country radio this week with his fastest rising single to date “Anywhere With You” topping both the Mediabase Country Chart and Billboard Country Chart. The catchy song has impressively logged the biggest weekly audience sum with 43.8 million impressions since the Billboard Country Airplay Chart switched to audience-based rankings in 2005. Marking his fourth consecutive #1 from the chart-topping BAREFOOT BLUE JEAN NIGHT album, “Anywhere With You” has been certified GOLD by the RIAA for selling over 500,000 copies. The RCA Nashville project has delivered back-to-back #1’s with multi-week hits - the DOUBLE PLATINUM “Barefoot Blue Jean Night” and PLATINUM “Alone With You” – along with the GOLD-certified hit “The One That Got Away” that he co-wrote.

I’m incredibly amazed at what the Barefoot album has done,” shares Jake Owen. “To have four #1’s in a row … I’m so thankful to country radio and my fans. This wouldn’t have happened without you and I can’t wait to share new music with everyone!”

To win a chance to be right where Jake is, WSMV Channel 4 and Jammit Inc. are inviting fans to submit their best video performance of “Anywhere With You” between now and July 15. Using Jammit software, contestants record and upload videos to compete for the top band positions, bringing the best vocal and instrumental performances together into a virtual online band. Top singers, guitarists, bass players and drummers will be featured on Channel 4’s show “More At Midday” and the grand prize winners will play for Jake in Nashville. Jason Aldean set to make history with UGA show

ACM Male Vocalist of the Year Jason Aldean is approaching one of the biggest moments in his career Saturday, April 13, as he is set to play for more than 60,000 fans at the University of Georgia’s Sanford Stadium. Aldean is already in Athens preparing for the first show to ever be held there. Tickets for this 2013 NIGHT TRAIN TOUR stop sold out in less than an hour last October.

49 trucks and 27 buses have taken over Sanford Stadium in preparation for the historic event “between the hedges.” Aldean’s crew has been in Athens for four days building one of the biggest outdoor stages in the nation and hanging hundreds of lights, speakers, cameras and high resolution video panels connected with over 3 miles of cable to bring one of the biggest events in country music this year to life. The show will include over 600 staff, pyrotechnics and a helicopter flyover. Fellow Georgians Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett are also on the bill, along with current tour mate and Florida native Jake Owen.

“It’s been a long road from playing for 10 people just down the street in Macon, GA where I grew up to headlining the stadium of my favorite football team,” said Aldean. “But I feel like that whole road was leading me to this place, at this moment. I was born a Bulldog fan, and I have so many great memories at Sanford through the years. I've been working my whole career to get my live show to this level and I can’t imagine a better place to kick off the stadium shows we're doing this summer. We're about to take tailgating to another level!"

Additionally, Aldean was named Male Vocalist of the Year at Sunday's Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. He also took home the trophy for Vocal Event of the Year for his No. one song "The Only Way I Know" feat. Luke Bryan and Eric Church, marking his second consecutive win in that category. The third single off his PLATINUM album NIGHT TRAIN, "1994," is currently racing up the Top 20. "1994" comes on the heels of seven consecutive No. one singles and eleven career chart-toppers.

The 2013 NIGHT TRAIN TOUR has sold out every show so far this year, including Aldean's Madison Square Garden debut in Feb. that sold out in seven minutes. Other stadium stops include Boston’s Fenway Park (7/12 and 7/13) and Chicago’s Wrigley Field (7/20).

Jake Owen Is Optimistic About His Father's Cancer Treatment

Jake Owen's dad, Steve Owen, who was diagnosed with cancer two months ago, began radiation treatments last week for which he will go five times a week for six and a half weeks at the Mayo Clinic.  His father had throat surgery prior to beginning the treatments.  The cancer was found on the back of his tongue and the radiation treatments will focus there and his neck area.  Some of the side effects he will have as a result of the radiation treatments are a sore throat and loss of his taste buds for around a year.

Owen has an optimistic attitude regarding his dad's chances of beating the terrible disease.  He recently told The Country Vibe, "I talk to him every day. I think he gets annoyed with it because he thinks that I'm over-analyzing the situation. But I'm not. I'm just careful and my main goal is to keep his spirits high.  What he's going through in his mind isn't a big deal, because my dad's good at everything he's ever done and he works hard so he can beat it. But I remind him sometimes, whether he wants to hear it or not, 'Dad, what you're going through is not easy. But I'm here for you, mom's there for you'."

Jake also convinced his dad to get a small dog to be his companion during treatment, which is sure to help him cope as he deals with the daily struggles involved with the treatment he is undergoing.

Owen is a longtime supporter of cancer related charities, raising $125,000 for his foundation with a concert held in Vero Beach late last year.  The event, a sold-out show at the city's Vero Beach Sports Village, raised money for the Jake Owen Foundation, which supports St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and youth organizations in Indian River County, Florida, including Autism Speaks and the Mardy Fish Foundation. Over 6,200 fans attended the show.

Jake Owen Strikes Gold With "The One That Got Away"

While in Nashville gearing up to join Jason Aldean’s 2013 NIGHT TRAIN tour, RCA Nashville’s Platinum selling country singer Jake Owen celebrated the GOLD certification in the U.S. for his single “The One That Got Away.” The RIAA has acknowledged the No. 1 smash single for selling over 500,000 copies, marking his first GOLD record that he co-penned. Label executives and management surprised Jake with the shiny news and a special plaque to commemorate the occasion in the midst of his tour rehearsal Tuesday, 2/19 at Soundcheck.

“If the excitement wasn’t already building just preparing to hit the road with friend (and headliner) Jason Aldean, it sure is now! I can’t thank Country radio and the fans enough for supporting my music. My band and I have been in rehearsals day in and day out getting our new show ready and I can’t wait to share it,” shares Jake.

After selling out every date on his first headlining tour, CMT On Tour, it’s no surprise that Jake also earned this coveted slot on Jason Aldean’s nationwide tour which kicks off today, Thursday, 2/21 in Bossier City, LA and was previously tapped by superstars Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.

The American Country Awards 2012 Breakthrough Artist of the Year new single “Anywhere With You” is already quickly climbing the charts. The song is the fourth single produced by Joey Moi and Rodney Clawson from the Barefoot Blue Jean Night project.

Since releasing his chart-topping album, Barefoot Blue Jean Night, Jake has emerged as one of country music’s leading vocalists. The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and has delivered three consecutive No. 1 hit singles, including the multi-week chart-toppers; the nearly DOUBLE PLATINUM title track and nearly PLATINUM “Alone with You,” in addition to the GOLD-certified “The One That Got Away.”
