MCA Nashville recording artist David Nail is set to release his third album I’m A Fire on March 4. On I’m A Fire, the Grammy nominated Missouri native teamed back up with Frank Liddell, Chuck Ainlay and Glenn Worf for the producing duties.
I’m A Fire has started off with a bang by the first single off the album, “Whatever She’s Got,” reaching GOLD Certification by the RIAA. The hit single, a song that Nail recorded for his wife Catherine, currently sits in the top-10 on the Billboard Country Airplay charts and continues to rise fast.
Nail, who is in one of the best places of his life both artistically and personally, says “There’s so many moments on this record that make me think about the last four years that I’ve been married, and ‘I’m a Fire’ just sums it all up.” He adds “It [the title track] says, ‘I’ve walked through flames, come out on the other end, and the foremost reason is because of you.’”
I’m A Fire boasts 11 tracks including “When They’re Gone (Lyle County)” which features harmonies by past tour mates Little Big Town, “Kiss You Tonight” a song that expresses the strong emotion that we all feel at some point in our lives for another, the steamy “Burnin’ Bed” and one of the most special moments on the album, the cover of Glen Campbell’s “Galveston;” which Nail turns into a duet with in one of country music’s best songbirds, Lee Ann Womack.

Country Music fans locked up ticketing servers last week while racing to purchase tickets for the Country Cares Concert to benefit The Granite Mountain Hot Shots, which officially sold out over 6,000 tickets at Tim’s Toyota Center for the July 22 event in Prescott Valley, AZ. The New KMLE Country @ 107.9 and 92.9 KAFF Country organized the concert with headliner Dierks Bentley and after the sell out this morning, special guests The Band Perry, Randy Houser and David Nail joined on to help raise money for the families of the 19 firefighters who lost their lives in last week’s wildfires.
“Country fans are the best, and when their friends need help, they show up,” said Bentley. “This is my hometown, and I feel a huge pull to go back and be there with them and do what I can to help. I've had some friends speak up and say they wanted to come help, so we're going to put together a special night of music, raise some money and hopefully leave these families and this community with some positive memories."
“We feel very blessed this concert sold out so quickly,” said KMLE Country @ 107.9 Program Director Tim Richards. “Thanks to these artists for putting together such an amazing event in such a short amount of time. We hope families of the firefighters know how much the Arizona community cares about them.”
Fans interested in contributing who were not able to purchase tickets or attend the Country Cares Concert can make a direct donation by clicking here. All proceeds from the concert will go to the United Phoenix Firefighters Charities who will distribute directly to the families of the 19 fallen firefighters.
Arizona native Dierks Bentley has forged his own artistic path in an industry built predominantly on formula. He has mixed elements of modern country, classic country, bluegrass and rock, maintaining an unmistakable identity while constantly reinventing his sound. His album 'HOME' debuted at No. 1 and spawned three consecutive chart-topping hits, marking 10 career No. 1 songs for Bentley as a singer and songwriter. His five previous studio albums have sold more than five million copies, garnered 11 GRAMMY nominations and earned him an invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry. Bentley is currently in the studio working on his upcoming album RISER due out this fall and will pick back up later this month on the Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley: Locked & Reloaded Tour through October.

MCA Nashville’s David Nail released his new song “Whatever She’s Got” today to radio. “Whatever She’s Got” (written by Jimmy Robbins and Jon Nite) is the lead single off Nail’s third album which MCA will release early next year.
Nail who admits that he has now entered one of the happiest and most peaceful points in his life says “This record for starters, I can’t really say how it’s different without saying that I, myself am different. Therefore the music naturally formed its own life.”
Frank Liddell, who produced “Whatever She’s Got” along with the upcoming unreleased album, agreed with Nail saying “This record is a happy record and reflects to me, where he is in his life.”
Liddell is no stranger to David Nail. He produced Nail’s debut album I’m About To Come Alive, which spawned the top-10 hit “Red Light” and the Grammy-nominated “Turning Home” as well as Nail’s sophomore album, The Sound of a Million Dreams which boasted the No. 1 song “Let It Rain.”
“Whatever She’s Got,” is a song that Nail proudly shares is for his wife, Catherine. Nail immediately was drawn to the song since it reminded him of the first time he met Catherine. The couple met in Nashville and have been married for four years.
“I still to this day don’t know what she has,” Nail says, “but I know that I like it….whatever it is.
