"I grew up in Moore, I live in Norman and I've got lots of family and friends who were directly affected," Toby Keith says of devastating storms that hit the area last month. "I'm proud to get together with some others from around here who are just as committed as I am to supporting these communities."
Keith will bring in friends Garth Brooks, Ronnie Dunn, Willie Nelson and Trisha Yearwood to help him perform at the July 6 Oklahoma Twister Relief Concert. "Once we got the news that the tornado had hit Toby's hometown, Miss Yearwood and I told Toby we were at his service for whatever he chose to do," Brooks says. "It is an honor to get to be a part of this healing process." The show will be held at the University of Oklahoma's Memorial Stadium in Norman, with proceeds to benefit the United Way Of Central Oklahoma's May Tornadoes Relief Fund.
Tickets for the concert go on sale Friday, June 21 at 10am; all seats are $ 25, all inclusive, all seats reserved – eight-ticket purchase limit. Doors open at 1:30pm, show time is 3pm. For more information, visit www.tobykeith.com.
