The Telly Awards has named Musicians On Call (MOC) Nashville Advisory Board member Glenn Sweitzer as a Bronze winner in the Internet/Online Programs, Segments, or Promotional Pieces in the Charitable/Not-For-Profit category at the 34th Annual Telly Awards. Sweitzer received the award for producing a Veterans Day video featuring the reigning Academy of Country Music’s Top New Male Artist, Brantley Gilbert.
The video, filmed last November on Veterans Day, features Gilbert’s visit to the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System’s Nashville Campus VA Hospital, which was arranged through one of MOC’s weekly Bedside Performance Programs. The country music singer/songwriter spent the morning chatting with hospitalized veterans, sharing his music and honoring the patients who have served in the U.S. military. “I am thrilled to win a Telly Award, and I share this honor with Brantley and Musicians On Call,” said Sweitzer. “I believe in Musicians On Call’s mission, and I am always happy to help them however I can. I’d like to dedicate this award to our national heroes – our military veterans.”
