Multi-Platinum selling singer/songwriter Dierks Bentley will make a pit stop in New York this week in the middle of an 18 day run to co-host on Friday's episode of The View, airing at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. CT on ABC. Bentley will also reveal his new single to fans with a first-time television performance of the new song off his forthcoming album RISER.
From New York, Bentley will pick back up on the Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley Locked & Reloaded this weekend in Philadelphia, PA (7/26), Holmdel, NJ (7/27) and Washington, DC (7/28). For a full listing of upcoming tour dates and appearances, visit www.dierks.com.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Dierks and some of his friends raised more than $476,000 with the Country Cares Concert that will benefit the families of the Granite Mountain Hot Shots who lost their lives in recent wildfires. Dierks, along with The Band Perry, Randy Houser and David Nail, performed during the concert at Tim's Toyota Center in Prescott Valley, AZ.
Family members of the 19 firefighters and the sole surviving firefighter were in attendance at the event in an emotional yet celebratory night of music. Bentley honored the fallen firefighters with a photo tribute during his first-ever performance of brand new song "Here On Earth" and kicked off a special version of "Home" with a bagpipe intro by the Rural Metro Pipe and Drum Corp.
All money raised from the event will go to the United Phoenix Firefighters Charities who will directly distribute to the families of the 19 fallen firefighters.
